What I like about Traut is

Welcoming and friendly staff bring comfort to a new school for me!

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy weight training, running, and hiking.  When I need a sweet treat, I love baking gluten-free desserts and devouring them.  Being in a band and working on my own singing and playing is wonderful.

My favorite books and authors are

I've always been drawn back to Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine.  Mystery and suspense books pull me in, and it's hard for them not to be page-turners.

About My Classroom

I absolutely love including music game songs and movement to expose students to discover their passion and fun with music!  I have certifications in Kodály Level 1 and 2, and I utilize rhythmic and melodic aural training in my teaching with students.  It is crucial to use your ears before your eyes.  Every music concept includes preparation, presentation, practice, and challenges.  One of my music passions is choral music, and I look forward to directing the Traut choir before school.  The chime bells spark memories from my childhood, and I look forward to using them and other instruments in music class.

Courses Taught

I teach Kindergarten through 5th grade general music.
