π Hi! My name is Mr. Maul, and I am excited to be back at Traut for another year of running, jumping, throwing, catching, laughing, and probably picking up a few thousand cones along the way!
This will be my 12th year teaching Physical Education and my 5th year at Traut Core Knowledge School. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to teach PE in Denver, Greeley, and Fort Collins, working with students from kindergarten through middle school.
My goal in PE is pretty simple: I want kids to enjoy moving! We will learn new skills, challenge ourselves, work together, learn how to be good teammates, and most importantly have FUN.
When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my family. My wife, Cherie, and I have a daughter, Mila, and we love getting outside together.
We enjoy camping, going to the park, listening to music, and trying new restaurants. I'm also a big fan of Colorado sports.

In PE, you don't have to be the best at something to have fun doing it. Try, learn, get back up, and keep going! πͺ
πββοΈ πββοΈ PE at Traut is more than just playing games. It's a place where students learn how to move, cooperate, compete, solve problems, build confidence, and take care of their bodies.
We'll work on everything from fundamental movement skills to sports and fitness while learning how to be safe, respectful, supportive teammates.
My biggest goal is for students to leave the gym thinking: "I had fun, I learned something, and I want to come back!"
And if they leave a little sweaty too!
