Growing up in Fort Collins and attending Poudre School District schools, I always knew I wanted to become an educator, inspired by the very teachers who shaped my own childhood. After graduating early from Rocky Mountain High School, I accelerated my studies at the University of Northern Colorado to earn my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Multicultural Studies, landing my first teaching role at my former PSD elementary school! Driven by a passion for continuous learning, I returned to UNC for my Master’s in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, and I continually seek out the latest best practices to support every student.
Northern Colorado holds a special place in my heart. My high school sweetheart and husband, Mitchell, and I love building our life here alongside our two daughters, Adelaide and Eloise, and our two dogs, Jasper and Chester. Becoming a mother has made me a deeply empathetic and passionate educator. Outside the classroom, you can find our family exploring local natural areas and patio spots, or catching me with a camera in hand indulging my love for photography and design!
I have always admired the incredible community that makes Traut Core Knowledge so special, and I feel truly honored to be a part of it! Traut is known for deeply engaging and caring for its students, families, and staff. I am thrilled to partner with this wonderful community to support our learners every day.
When I’m not in the classroom doing what I love, you can usually find me spending quality time with my family, relaxing poolside, or paddle boarding on the water. I also love diving into a good book, capturing sweet moments with photography, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and enjoying a relaxing Target run!
My favorite children's book is Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon. I love the message for my students and it is always an inspiring book to read aloud. I really enjoy reading to my students and sharing the joy of reading with them.
"By doing what you love, you inspire and awaken the heart of others"
Our classroom is a supportive, dynamic space designed to foster growth, curiosity, and a passion for lifelong learning. By prioritizing confidence, kindness, and creativity, we build an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered. Here, students see themselves as scientists, authors, mathematicians, leaders, and friends. Above all, we are a classroom family dedicated to learning and growing together.
From tying shoes to unlocking the magic of reading, I’ve spent my teaching career in the glorious, high-energy world of Kindergarten and First Grade! I specialize in turning early childhood chaos into joyful learning, big lightbulb moments, and a love for school that lasts.
