I moved to Fort Collins in 2020 from Atlanta, GA where I spent the previous 15 years of my life. I am married and have two amazing kids and two furry babies, all of which keep me very busy. I received my bachelor's in Accountancy from Western Michigan University. I worked in public accounting for 7 years before going back to school and becoming a teacher. I earned my Master's in Teaching from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA. The day I started teaching, I stopped looking at the clock wishing that time would pass by a little faster and started looking at the clock wondering where all the time went. I love my job and haven't looked back once. Throughout my career, I have taught every grade except 2nd.
My favorite part of Traut is the students! The student body at Traut is respectful, caring, diligent, and fun. It is a special place.
I love the easy access to hiking, biking, and paddleboarding here in Fort Collins and spend as much of my free time as possible enjoying those activities. I also love to sit down and pick up a book to truly detach and relax. On a rainy or cold day, my daughter and I like to bake together. We also enjoy traveling as a family and exploring as many new places as possible.
Kate DiCamillo and Roald Dahl are my two favorite children's authors. Their creativity never ceases to amaze me.
Personally, I enjoy ready biographies, memoirs, and time period novels.

My classroom is a place where all students learn. We work hard, have fun, and care about each other in room 217!
