Our TCKS elementary P.E. curriculum is a spiraling (basics learned > reviewed/refined) skills-based curriculum in which students learn and sharpen fundamental physical, personal wellness, social-emotional, and safety knowledge and skills that can be applied in the many recreational activities and social situations they’ll encounter throughout their lives.
We learn and practice healthy social (interactive) and emotional (internal/self-monitoring) behaviors, safe play behaviors, and general physical wellness (nutrition/exercise) behaviors that develop and support a healthy, well-rounded lifestyle for our students. Basic skills are learned in younger grades, then reinforced and integrated in a variety of games, sports, and activities in the later years. Our program also encourages lifelong physical fitness by teaching and practicing a variety of activities and exercise routines students and their families can incorporate into their daily lives.
